Next Systems Ltd are delighted to have become approved sub-contractors for three leading construction and refurbishment organisations; BT Engage IT, Skanska and Area Sq.
Large organisations that use contractors have strict selection criteria. This process includes understanding and monitoring our own quality management system, health and safety and onsite engineering standards, so gaining approved sub-contractor status is a significant achievement.
Skanska is one of the world’s leading construction groups with expertise in construction, development of commercial and residential projects and public-private partnerships.
Area Sq was launched in January 2000 by Clive Lucking, Nigel Hudson and James Cornwell. The founding Directors, each with over 15 years experience in the office design industry, set out to create a company offering a unique approach to clients undertaking an office refurbishment or relocation. From day one Area Sq adopted a philosophy of “working around a table rather than across it”. This consultative and user friendly approach still remains a rarity within the construction industry.
Over the past 8 years, the company has expanded rapidly both in terms of headcount and in turnover which has increased to 50 employees and £27m in 2007. We believe this is very largely due to the exceptional team of people that form Area Sq. Our level of staff retention is the highest within our industry and this together with innovative and professional marketing has enabled us to achieve a significant market share in a relatively short period. We have fitted out over 750 commercial interiors and our order book is as strong as ever.
